GROUND WORK:
DEEPENING THE FUNDAMENTALS

friday, june 26 — 18:00-20:00

Tati

This isn't a workshop about helping people chase perfection in their practice. But — like with almost anything — having a solid foundation upon which to build, explore and challenge yourself is so important.
It changes everything about how far you can go.

I've noticed that I see far more progression in my practice, and my students' practices, when we hone in on the same simple(r) asana sequences and get deeper into the mechanics of it - dristi, bandhas, the deliberate placement and control of our bodies in space.

Having the building blocks in place gives you confidence and allows you to find more consistency and familiarity in your practice. The foundational sequences - especially the opening vinyasa sequences of Surya Namaskar A & B — give you a place to return to daily and can be a powerful standalone practice.

Mastering and refining the seemingly simple will allow you to explore your practice with genuine curiosity rather than uncertainty, expand into more complex asana, and build something that genuinely lasts — a practice that is strong and consistent.
